Toronto Mayor John Tory may have the best intentions with his tough talk that those who live in the city’s subsidized housing will lose residency if they are found to be dealing drugs. Tory has not earned right to parody us

Of all the stories and happenings around this city this past week, not to mention the rest of the world, there is one that keeps “popping back” into my head because it is bothersome. What kept nagging at me was the video I saw of Mayor John Tory riding the subway, with earphones and apparently bobbing his head to Kanye West’s music. Apart from the fact that he looked silly, and I realize that he was, supposedly, making fun of himself for believing that West was Canadian, the act is a bit of a stereotyping parody.
