Who A Di Don, the hit comedy written and directed by Oliver Samuels, is returning to the Greater Toronto Area.

The play was performed at three sold-out shows in Toronto last summer and an astonishing 124 times in Jamaica. Presented by Ebony Nile Ventures, the cast consists of Samuels, Audrey Reid, Ruth Ho Shing and Kadeem Wilson.

With the 50th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence being celebrated this year, Samuels wrote the play, which he has not done in years, in order to “tek serious tings mek joke”.

The play begins with the summoning of Uncle Joshie (Samuels) from the country by Sylvia (Reid) to save her son Malcolm (Wilson) from a downward spiral caused by the death of his father, Joseph.

However, things take an interesting turn when Malcolm convinces Joshie to join his quest to avenge his father’s murder.

Will he succeed?

These questions will be answered in Samuels’ hilarious story about love, hate and betrayal.

Who A Di Don will be performed on Saturday, October 27, at 8 p.m. at Chinguacousy Secondary School, 1370 Williams Parkway East, Brampton; and Sunday, October 28, at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate, 2300 Pharmacy Avenue, Scarborough. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door.
