After 124 shows in Jamaica, “Who A Di Don” comes to Canada for Mother’s Day!

This weekend marks the 12th year of Ebony Nile Venture’s annual Mother’s Day Event.

“Who A Di Don” is a hilarious comedy written by Oliver Samuels.

The cast consist of Oliver Samuels, of course, along with Audrey Reid, Ruth Ho Shing and Kadeem Wilson.

The excitement ‘tun up’ as here comes Uncle Joshie, Joseph’s lone brother, played by Oliver Samuels, who is summoned from the country by Sylvia to save her son from the downward spiral.

Things take an interesting turn when Malcolm instead convinces Joshie to join his quest to avenge his father’s murder.

Will he succeed?

All these questions will be answered in the hilariously funny story of love, hate and betrayal.

With the 50th anniversary of Jamaica’s independence coming up, Oliver took some time off to write this play himself, something he has not done in years as only his expertise could truly “tek serious tings mek joke”.

Performance days are: Friday, May 11, 2012, 8:00 p.m. at Chinguacousy Secondary School in Brampton; Saturday, May 12, 2012, 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 13, 2012, 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Winston Churchill Secondary School in Scarborough.
