Mississauga City Council calls by-election

The Mississauga City Council has declared a by-election to fill the Ward 4 Council vacancy.

 

After considering a report prepared by City staff last week, Council passed a by-law to call the by-election. The Ward 4 seat was declared vacant after former councillor Frank Dale was appointed Peel Regional Chair on December 4, 2014. Dale was required to resign the Ward 4 seat to accept the appointment for Peel Region.

 

Key dates for the Ward 4 Mississauga by-election:


Nomination Period: Wednesday, January 21 to Friday, March 13, at 2 p.m.

 

Nomination Day: Friday, March 13.

 

Advance Poll Dates: Monday, April 13, at the Civic Centre, 300 City Centre Drive and Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 at the Mississauga Valley Community Centre, 1275 Mississauga Valley Blvd.

 

By-election Day: Monday, April 27.
