City of Toronto Councilor, Paula Fletcher (Ward 30 Toronto-Danforth), Chair of the Parks and Environment Committee, marked the opening of Toronto’s five municipal golf courses recently by teeing off at Dentonia Park Golf Course.
“I’m proud to be part of a city that makes golf a sport that’s accessible to the public,” said Fletcher. “In these tough economic times, people still need a way to relax, get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors without spending a lot of money. Toronto’s golf courses are beautiful and accessible.”
Operated by Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation, the courses are reasonably priced, conveniently located within city boundaries, and easily accessed by TTC. Each course has its own individual appeal.
