Rock Steady is back in T.O. featuring Merritone

Due to popular demand, the second annual Rock Steady Reunion, Dinner Comedy and Dance will be held this weekend.

Presented by the Old Soul Alumni Association and Love Jones Music, the inaugural show last year was an overwhelming success. Those who didn’t attend are encouraged to buy tickets for this weekend’s show as soon as possible before they are sold out.

In addition to dinner, comedy and dance, this year’s event will be highlighted by a live performance by Winston “Merritone” Blake, who is returning to Toronto from Kingston, Jamaica. The reggae superstar’s performance brought the house down last year and he is looking forward to dazzling the crowd once again.

“This is a place where I consider it a home to me,” said Blake, referring to Toronto.

This year’s event will be hosted by James Morgan, and will feature a performance by renowned comedian Marcia Brown, who is sure to have the crowd laughing until their ‘belly bus’. In addition, an early collectors showcase will be held, and dinner will be provided by Beryl’s Pepper Pot.

The second annual Rock Steady Reunion, Dinner, Comedy and Dance will be held on Saturday, July 30 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church Hall, 14 Highgate Drive, Markham. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and dinner starts at 8 p.m. $45 advance tickets are available at all ticket outlets.
