Reggae fans are in for a special treat this month as Beres Hammond will perform live with his full band in Toronto.
The event, which will also feature special guest Wayne Wonder, is presented by the Redemption Reggae Festival.
Born in Annotto Bay, Saint Mary, Jamaica, Hammond has been performing for three decades. His soulful voice, featured on hits like ‘They Gonna Talk’, ‘Come Back Home’, ‘Tempted to Touch’ and ‘Double Trouble’ earned critical acclaim and an international fan base.
Wayne Wonder began his career as a songwriter at age 13. Born in Buff Bay, Portland, Jamaica, Wonder has demonstrated his versatility in reggae and hip-hop throughout his career, and is best known for the worldwide hit ‘No Letting Go’.
Beres Hammond and special guest Wayne Wonder will perform at the Sound Academy, 11 Polson St. on Saturday, August 20. Doors will open at 8 p.m. Early bird tickets ($45, $50) are available at select outlets.
