The Caribbean Chapter of the Canadian Diabetes Association is presenting its second annual Black Diabetes expo.
The event will feature a variety of products and resources to educate persons on how to prevent and manage diabetes while improving their overall health. Speakers will discuss topics such as healthy eating, physical activity and cardiovascular health.
Attendees can also visit the tradeshow area, which will feature more than 30 exhibitors offering diabetes related products and services, free blood sugar and blood pressure testing, plus BMI assessment and an “Ask-the Experts” area.
The Canadian Diabetes Association’s Second Annual Black Diabetes Expo will be held on Saturday, April 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Thornhill Community Centre, 7755 Bayview Ave., (northeast corner of Bayview Ave. and John St.).
Admission, parking and lunch are free. Free shuttle buses will be provided from TAIBU Community Health Centre at Malvern Town Centre and Jane Finch Mall (limited seats/pre-registration required).
