Canada Day Gospel music celebration at Revivaltime

Those looking to celebrate Canada Day with the entire family will be pleased to know there is a place – a sanctuary – where they will find stellar entertainment, suitable for all ages, without compromise.

In recognition of the church’s Youth Month, Revivaltime Tabernacle (RTT) will host its annual Canada Day Gospel Music Celebration on July 1. The headliner for this year’s outdoor event is gospel music’s rising stars, Tye Tribbett & G.A. (Greater Anointing).

Known for his commanding stage presence and showmanship, Tribbett has been captivating gospel music devotees with his style of contemporary Christian music for over a decade.

Tribbett and his choir, G.A., first started turning heads in 1998 for their work on The Prince of Egypt (inspirational) album that accompanied the Academy Award-winning animated film of the same name. Since then, the group went on to release Victory Live! in 2006 which entered the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart at #1. The album also led to three Grammy nominations and two Stellar Award wins.

The Canada Day Gospel Music Celebration will also feature well-respected Canadian artists, Pastor Richard Brown, Karen Jules and Destined2B, as well as RTT Choral & Dance Squad, among others. There will be food onsite and there are still vendor tables available. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

The event is scheduled to run from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. outdoors at Revivaltime Tabernacle, 4340 Dufferin Street. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children and can be bought online at www.ticketweb.ca.
